Welcome 2019
As I write this, 2018 is quickly coming to an end. The end of a year is often a solemn, even sad, time, but this is certainly not the case for Korea TESOL. The year 2018 has been quite a good year for our organization. We pride ourselves on being a group of “teachers helping teachers,” and I think we have accomplished this in numerous ways.
Our chapters across the country have been very active, holding scores of professional development events and some social events as well. Our SIGs have also been active, especially in online discussions. We have held our biggest conference in...

The awardee of the inaugural KOTESOL RESEARCH PAPER of the YEAR AWARD was announced at the Annual Business Meeting (ABM) following the Sunday session of the International Conference on October 14. This year's award went to Dr. Jin Ha Woo (우진하) for her research paper titled "Flow in Foreign Language Reading for Korean University Students," appearing in the Korea TESOL Journal, 13(2). The Korea TESOL International Conference is this weekend!
The pre-registration numbers have come in, and they have exceeded the committee's expectations. We now expect to see an increase in the on-site registration as well, making the 2018 conference one of the largest in recent years.
As seating is limited in the plenary hall, attendees will also be able to watch live-feed of the plenary sessions from one of two overflow rooms.

There are only a few weeks left to save money by pre-registering for the 2018 Korea TESOL International Conference. Hosted by Sookmyung Women’s University, the Korea TESOL International Conference, Oct. 13-14, 2018, attracts scholars, educators, and teachers from around the world.
