Korea TESOL is looking for an editor for The English Connection (TEC), its quarterly ELT magazine. We are looking for an individual with experience in publishing and in production. Once selected, this editor will work with the present TEC editor-in-chief on the upcoming Spring 2019 issue, and will take over as editor-in-chief beginning with the Summer 2019 issue.
We are looking for a candidate with, or capable of doing, the following:
ㅡ KOTESOL membership.
ㅡ Familiarity with the magazine (TEC).
ㅡ Familiarity with ELT and the wants/needs of the TEC readership.
ㅡ Managing submissions and assigning to copy-editors/proofreaders.
ㅡ Organizing the general layout of the magazine for the designer.
ㅡ Selecting a cover photo.
ㅡ Checking and approving the final layout.
ㅡ Working well with a supervisor (in this case, the Publications Committee chair)
