To all members of the MCALL SIG:
It's time to choose a new facilitator! All SIG members are invited to nominate someone*, including themselves, for the position. If you have ideas for the SIG (and the time and energy to implement them), please step up!
To nominate someone, please send an email to Lindsay Herron, the current facilitator. All nominees should provide a paragraph about their vision for the SIG in the coming year. Candidates' statements will be posted at the bottom of this news announcement as they become available and will be provided to all SIG participants prior to the voting period. We'll be taking nominations until October 31 and voting online (if there are multiple candidates) from November 1-8
We strongly recommend that the new SIG facilitator plan to attend the Leadership Retreat on November 25, as the event should include a special session for SIGs to discuss their ideas, interests, and concerns, as well as to ask questions to the second vice-president, who is in charge of overseeing SIGs.
* Note: Facilitators must be current members of KOTESOL (and must plan to continue to be members of KOTESOL for the duration of their term as facilitator). If their membership expires and is not renewed during their term as facilitator, they become ineligible for the position.
