Insider's Scoop on the International Conference

As we start counting down the hours to the 2013 KOTESOL International Conference, we thought you might appreciate a few tips from inside ConComm. We hope these help you enjoy your conference experience!

First, everyone should note that the conference venue is not the same as last year. We're across the street, in the old campus. As you're heading up the hill from the subway, turn right at the main gate, instead of left. If you find yourself on a huge flight of stairs, you're in the wrong place.

Global Webcast (Live Streaming)

Once again Korea TESOL has teamed with KoreaBridge to present highlights of the Annual KOTESOL International Conference via webcast.

Throughout the conference, we will be streaming conversations with conference presenters, attendees, and sponsors from the Webcasting Studio in Room 213. Everyone is welcome to stop by and participate in the conversations. Tune in to http://koreabridge.net/kotesol2013 to catch the live stream along with latest photos, videos, and tweets from the conference.

After the conference, a number of presentation video-recordings will become available...

Annual Business Meeting and Bylaws Vote

KOTESOL's Annual Business Meeting for 2013 will be held Sunday, October 13th in Gemma Hall (Sookmyung University), 4-6pm.

Results from this year's elections, Reports, and proposed Bylaws Amendment are included.

Pre-registration Confirmations

All who have successfully completed the #kotesol conference pre-registration process have been sent a confirmation email from admin@koreatesol.org

It is suggested that you bring a copy of this email to the conference.

If you have not received a confirmation email, but believe you should have, please:

Online Voting Update (2013)

72 additional e-ballots were sent prior to Oct 5 for those whose new/renewed membership had been processed between Sept 20 / Oct 1.

Those who haven't received an e-ballot, but renewed/joined on or before October 1, 2013, should send an email to elections@koreatesol.org

Those who renewed/joined after October 1 may vote at the conference venue.

Dear members,

Please find attached the Bylaws Amendment proposal which should have been attached to the ABM notice of Sept 13.

The secretary apologises for the lateness of this document dealing with proposed bylaw amendments, to be discussed at the 13th of October ABM. No intentional concealment was intended, and as the issue is a sensitive one, where the council wishes to be as open as possible in such matters, please consider the issues carefully in preparation for the ABM, where this can be discussed more fully.
