Job Title: Assistant Professor (Non-tenure track, Full-time)

Length of Contract: 2 years (renewable upon satisfactory faculty performance evaluation)
Required Hours: 12 class hours per semester (24 class hours per year)
Main Duties:
(1) Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate (Master’s level) courses offered in the Department of English Education
(2) Providing counselling and academic advice for the pre-service students majoring in English education
(3) Actively assisting faculty members and participating in academic affairs
- Required Teaching: 12 credits per semester (24 credits per year)
- Exemplary Courses Taught: British and American Culture, Introduction to English Literature, English Conversation, English Composition, etc.
Qualifications:
(1) A Master’s or Doctoral degree in English-related academic disciplines (e.g., English education, TESOL, English linguistics and literature, or applied linguistics; Doctoral degree preferred)
(2) A foreign national who is highly proficient in English (the language of instruction at the department)
(3) Prefers the candidate with expertise in publishing research in domestic or international academic journals
Salary Information:
(1) Negotiable depending on the applicant’s qualifications
Base Salary Range: From KRW 37,400,000 to 47,400,000 annually
- Doctoral degree in English-related academic discipline with a 2-year experience or more: KRW 47,400,000 (Max) (Apprx. USD 39,000)
- Master’s degree: KRW 37,400,000 (Min) (Apprx. USD 30,700)
(2) Merit system: Incentives available upon annual faculty performance evaluation
(3) Contract renewable upon satisfactory biennial faculty performance evaluation
