Title: Personal Paradigm Shifts: Sources, Strategies and Signficance
Abstract: Many factors contribute to reconceptualizing our teaching practice. This session will attempt to help participants become more aware of minor and major personal paradigm shifts in their professional practice. Participants will be invited to share personal breakthroughs which caused them to view aspects of their professional teaching practice differently. After this, the effectiveness of various strategies to alter how one views his/her teaching practice will be shared. Finally, attendees will be asked to consider if they feel that personal paradigm shifts have resulted in better classroom experiences or outcomes for their learners.
