KOTESOL is seeking bids for a candidate to carry out bookkeeping work and other duties supporting our treasury needs.
Preferred candidate qualifications:
- Fluency in Korean.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience with finances and bookkeeping.
- Experience with/knowledge of PayPal and credit card payment systems.
- Trustworthy, good communication, reliable.
Candidates are not required to be a certified public accountant, but this position might be of interest to licensed CPAs or those studying for a CPA license. While some work may involve in-person banking, most of the work should be possible to do remotely from home.
Among the projects to be completed: Setting up a Korean PayPal account for the organization; assistance with getting the organization set up to accept credit cards; potentially, assistance with nonprofit registration processes. Ongoing duties: processing and organizing files and payments (estimated 4 hours per week of bookkeeping).
