Abstract:

“Global Culture Network: Student-centered Cultural Online Projects”

The vision of Global Culture Network is to foster international cultural citizens who can communicate with the world based on pride in their own culture. Moreover, the purpose is to proceed with student-centered cultural online projects by linking to an international education network. Teachers and professors from more than 30 primary, secondary, and tertiary schools, universities, and institutions from around the world have joined Global Culture Network, and teachers in Gyeonggi Province are playing main roles. In this network, students introduce their culture through their own short movie clips, and they exchange the clips with other students from around the world. Also, they keep communicating by asking and answering questions about the other students' clips. Furthermore, the teachers from different countries work together to suggest culture projects and share ideas in groups. It is also nationwide, so many teachers in many different parts of Korea are collaborating for various projects on Global Culture Network.
