Keimyung University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Education at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin March 2021. We seek candidates who can demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship and who are interested in working within an intercultural environment.
Keimyung University is a large, comprehensive institution located in Daegu, the fourth-largest city in South Korea. Keimyung welcomes hundreds of international students from around the world to engage with its academic programs with a strong emphasis on service and community involvement. Keimyung hosts over a hundred international faculty members across sixteen undergraduate colleges.
Job Description
The candidate will be expected to teach 9 credit hours per semester in their area of expertise and other departmental offerings as needed. The candidate will teach courses in both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in education or related field from a regionally accredited institution; strong research agenda in candidate's area of specialization (education area); native-level English fluency. Successful teaching experience in higher education fields would be preferable. Excellent communication, organization skills, and high standard of professional integrity will be expected.

Additional Information
Annual salary is $51,500 for a new Tenure-track Assistant Professor, and salary could increase based on an annual performance evaluation. The salary will be paid in US dollars.
Complimentary campus housing will be provided for the first two years upon request.
Research funding (approximately $20,000 for the first two years) for new faculty is also available.
