The KOTESOL President's Award is KOTESOL's highest award for service to the organization. This year's award was announced and awarded at the Sunday plenary session of the 2019 Korea TESOL International Conference at Sookmyung Women's University in Seoul. KOTESOL President David Shaffer presented the 2019 President's Award to Lindsay N. Herron.
Ms. Herron has been an exceptional asset to KOTESOL over the past year. While serving KOTESOL as immediate past president, she has also served as chair of the Membership Committee, registration director of the International Conference Committee, and editor of the KOTESOL News, the organization's monthly e-newsletter. She has been active on numerous committees and also at Gwangju-Jeonnam Chapter.
The plaque that Ms. Herron received reads in part: "With upmost gratitude for her conscientious efforts and resolute dedication to the organization; serving in numerous roles, she is ever
a masterful leader and advisor, a mentor and role model, a pillar of the organization, and the embodiment of the KOTESOL spirit of service."
KOTESOL would not be the same without Lindsay Herron.
