KOTESOL is currently seeking a treasurer for the coming year! Members are encouraged to apply.
Duties (per the KOTESOL Bylaws):
The Treasurer shall act as a fiduciary for the financial affairs of KOTESOL, keep appropriate bank accounts in the name of KOTESOL, maintain accurate records of the finances of the organization, maintain a list of KOTESOL members, prepare the annual operating budget, and manage all funds belonging to KOTESOL in an open and accountable manner.
In brief, the treasurer manages the KOTESOL national budget, ensures transparency and accuracy in organizational financial statements, and facilitates both incoming (e.g., paid according to appropriate invoices) and outgoing (e.g., chapter dues shares and other monies authorized for disbursement) funds to/from the KOTESOL bank accounts. We have a novice bookkeeper and Membership Committee chair who will help with much of the paperwork and processing, but the organization needs a reliable, honest, meticulous person willing to step into the role of treasurer to act as a conductor for this symphony!
