Abstract

Via this talk, we, the facilitators, seek to share what we have previously learned about how education can increase humans' compassion for our fellow animals. We first consider notions such as the circle of compassion and positive interdependence before we focus on how language teachers can promote compassion for nonhuman animals. In this sharing session, we also hope to learn more on this topic from our esteemed participants toward the goal of making the Earth a slightly more harmonious planet.
