Workshop
Title: Understanding the SDGs: 17 Goals to Change the World
Presenter: Eunhee Yoo
Abstract
Ever wondered what the UN sustainable development goals were and how you can introduce them into your lessons for young learners? Ms Yoo will share her experience teaching SDGs to local Gwangju elementary and middle school students through an immersive workshop on these important environmental goals.
Presenter Bio
Eunhee Yoo studies Administrative Welfare at Chosun University and teaches afterschool enrichment programs on the environment to local Gwangju youth.
Swapshop
Bring a favorite activity, lesson idea, or classroom strategy to share in a five-minute presentation. This is a great way to exchange practical, low-prep teaching ideas with fellow educators. Handouts, visuals, and creativity are all welcome.
Potluck
Please bring a dish to share. A potluck is a meal where each participant brings food to contribute. You can bring something homemade or store-bought—main dishes, sides, snacks, fruit, or dessert. Sharing food together is a wonderful way to build community and enjoy each other's cultures. Check back soon for our sign up list!
Open to all educators: KOTESOL members, guests, and newcomers are welcome
Admission is free (but you should bring a dish to pass for the potluck!)
