Workshop 1

Title:

"All Work and No Play Keeps Well-Being at Bay: A Practical Guide to Taking Charge of Wellbeing for Busy Professionals"

Abstract:

This workshop is designed to provide professionals with practical, accessible strategies to promote well-being in their personal and professional lives. It will begin with an exploration of key theories on well-being, emphasising its profound impact on overall health, particularly when diminished by stress or a lack of focus on activities that nourish our minds and spirits.

Participants will then engage in brief sample activities and explore tailored approaches to identifying and meeting their unique well-being needs, even amidst demanding schedules. The session will conclude with a reflective exercise, encouraging participants to consider how they can better prioritise their own well-being and maintain accountability without succumbing to guilt or burnout.

The overarching message of the workshop underscores the importance of achieving a harmonious balance between work and play, ensuring that well-being remains a central and uncompromised part of daily life.
