The general purpose of this collaborative workshop is to reflect on the possibilities for a new kind of English course, English for Peaceful Purposes (EPP), and specifically, to collectively brainstorm and discuss how to go about planning EPP writing courses for undergraduate language learners following a backwards curriculum approach. This event is expected to inspire as well as have practical outcomes for participants interested in developing peace linguistics and peace language education. (No background in these areas? No problem--come anyway! We're looking for diverse perspectives and creative brainstorming.)
