Visualising Language Learning
The April workshop will be about Visualising Language Learning (VLL). As students are more exposed to information presented in a visual way, such as pictures and films, visual literacy is as important as text literacy. In the field of VLL, it has been highlighted that one of the greatest ways to enhance visual literacy is to help students organise information with graphic organisers. Hence, the workshop will mainly deal with ways that graphic organisers can be implemented in English instruction to improve students' visual literacy.
Hyoeng Jun Chae is currently a teacher at Okgok Elementary School. He received his Bachelor of Education (2009) from Daegu National University of Education in South Korea, and MA in TESOL (2013) from Flinders University in Australia.
