Lindsay Herron has been teaching at Gwangju National University of Education since 2008. Prior to that, she taught English on a Fulbright grant at a high school in Jeju-do. She has an MA in cinema studies (New York University, USA); an MSEd in literacy, culture, and language education (LCLE; Indiana University, USA); a graduate certificate in learning sciences, media, and technology (LSMT; Indiana University, USA); and a CELTA and CELTA-YL Extension. She is currently a doctoral candidate in LCLE (Indiana University, USA).
A lifetime member of KOTESOL, Lindsay is chair of the KOTESOL Membership Committee, chair of the 2022 KOTESOL International Conference, president of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Chapter, editor of KOTESOL News (email newsletter) and KOTESOL Voices, and a participant on various other KOTESOL committees. In addition, she has served as the KOTESOL national president (2015-2017, 2019-2020, and currently), first vice-president (2014-2015), national conference co-chair (2017), international conference co-chair (2021), and facilitator of the MCALL-SIG (2015-2018).
